We Are All in This Together

If you are an alcohol server, getting an OLCC permit is probably the last thing on your mind right now. For the past several months, COVID-19 has created an overwhelming sense of uncertainty amongst Oregon’s food and beverage industry. Liquor licensees and alcohol servers alike have all had to make adjustments to their day-to-day processes, and many still feel anxiety about the future. Although our business has also been affected by the pandemic, we would like you to know that one thing hasn’t changed.

Craft Serving Can Help You Get an OLCC Permit

Here at Craft Serving, we are still working diligently, albeit remotely, to offer the best customer service we can to our students. Our staff is just a click or a phone call away and they are eager to assist. Please visit our Contacte page if we can help answer any questions about our online course or how to get an OLCC Permit.

If you are in need of an OLCC Permit and your budget is tight, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are more than happy to offer a “pandemic” discount to anyone that asks for it – no explanation needed. We know that the Oregon serving community has been hit hard by COVID-19 and we hope that you and your family are staying safe and healthy during these unusual times. We also realize that we are all in this together and the only way through is if we keep working together!

Other Resources for the Serving Community

Oregon.gov provides the most up-to-date information regarding the impact of COVID-19 on Oregon residents. Here you can find COVID-19 case numbers and the reopening phase status of each Oregon County.  It is important for alcohol servers to know what phase their county is in because each phase has different regulations for the what the food and beverage industry is allowed to do during the COVID-19 recovery process.

In an effort to aid the financially crippled food and beverage industry, the OLCC has loosened liquor sales rules.  Consequently, the OLCC’s website is the best way for liquor licensees and OLCC Permit holders to stay on top of emergency measures that have been enacted in response to the pandemic.  After you get your OLCC Permit, we recommend that you regularly check-in with this website to stay up-to-date on changes in the regulations and how they are impacting servers.

As a proud member of the Oregon Bartender’s Guild, Craft Serving is happy to support the United State’s Bartender’s Guild – National Charity Foundation.  The foundation has always been committed to advancing the lifelong stability & well-being of service industry professionals through education & charitable activities.  However, it has expanded its focus to helping alcohol servers during this pandemic.  Check out its website to see how its grants and Bartender Emergency Assistance Program might help you.

Finally, we think it’s also important to draw attention to a new organization called the Independent Restaurant Alliance of Oregon (IRAO).  The alliance was formed in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic when it became clear that independently owned restaurants and bars needed assistance in determining how to safely operate and recover from the economic fallout of this crisis.  IRAO is a connector for the industry that gives OLCC Permit holders updates on community initiatives and resources like grants and funding.
